Getting ready
Over the last few days we've been taking a lot of trips in the car. I'm trying to get them ready for the move. Riding in the car, seeing new things and meeting new people. As long as Charlie keeps his binky in his mouth we do just fine. Our biggest obstacle is getting out of the car and into the stroller. It is a lot of work now that they are too big to just snap on the car seats. Yesterday we went to a lawyers office to sign some papers for the sale of our house. Actually signing the papers only took maybe 5 minutes but we were there for a least 20 by the time I got them both out of the car, wrangled the HUGE stroller into the building, upstairs, and into the office then got them both back into the car. We're going to need some more practice before we go anywhere with time restraints.

A big outing
Today we went to the GAA for lunch. It was a big deal to take them on such a long outing with a 15 minute ride each way. They did really well. No crying in the car or the stroller. Jack did let it be known when he was ready to get out but otherwise they did really well. I was really pleased because it seems we might be able to do more things now. Everyone was excited to see them and couldn't believe how big they are. Both of them were happy to be held by friends, no sign of anxiety yet. Hopefully we can skip that as they'll be exposed to more people, more often once we move next week.

Mother's Day
It's my first mother's day as an actual mother. The boys, with Dah's help, gave me two "keepsake" picture frames with kits to make hand and foot prints. They also have engraved plaques for each boy with their name. I love them and can't wait to hang them in our new house. Jack and Charlie reminded Dah before bed last night to bring flowers home this morning and cook me breakfast. Also, they slept 30 minutes late so that was a nice treat. Both are busy working on more teeth so their schedule is all messed up and appetites are off. Maybe their growth has finally slowed down. (Not something I expected to be wishing for when they were born.)

Our first post
A friend of mine inspired me to create this blog. Mostly I thought it would be fun for Dah to see each day while he is at work. The boys both napped for 3 hours this afternoon. I think we have moved to a two nap schedule but the next couple of weeks could be rough as they still get really sleepy between the end of their second nap and bedtime.
