Squeaky Clean

Although it may look like we've started bathing the boys in the washer (and sometimes I don't think it would be such a bad idea), that's not true. Chip was changing clothes over and just had no other place to set Charlie. When my mom saw him she set Jack in as well and wallah, cute pictures.

Spoons

Charlie has started to eat with a spoon. Last night he had half a container of strawberry yogurt. I have to put a bite on the spoon and hand it to him, he eats it then hands it back for another bite. Every third bite or so he throws the spoon into the floor and we have to get another.

Jack will take the spoon, rake the food off with his hand, carefully inspect the spoon then throw it to the ground. He has just started crawling on his hands and knees and is working on his 13th tooth. I thought the molars were bad but the canines are proving to be worse. (Charlie is just finishing up his 12th.) Jack has really taken to Mexicorn and decided to wear a little last night.

Mom, hairdresser extrordinaire

I cut the boys hair last night. It's fairly easy to cut a little boy's hair as there doesn't have to be too much "style" involved. The fact that they are pretty wiggly does pose a challenge though. It turned out pretty well but Jack decided his would look better with a little product. Lacking access to any actual hair stuff he used mashed banana instead.

Not to be outdone

We have a walker! About 4:30 yesterday afternoon Charlie let go of my hand and took about 10 steps by himself. I got a couple videos of it last night but they are too dark to see on the computer. I'll try to get some more today. So far he looks like a little tin soldier. And not to be outdone, Jack decided it was time for his next trick as well. When I went in to get them up this morning he was standing at his bed rail. He has been pulling up onto his knees for several days but this is the first time he's made it all the way to standing. When I turned on the light he got startled and fell down so no pictures yet.

Krystal

For lunch today the boys had their first Krystal. (Hooray! As most of you know I LOVE Krystal.) They liked it enough to eat several bites. This is big for them as neither of them really likes bread. They split one and one Chickin Stickin as well as some fries. As true Krystal connoisseurs they preferred the bites with mustard and pickle to those without.

Dancin'

Mimi gave the boys the Disney movie "Robinhood" for halloween. It was their uncle Pat's favorite and he could recite it word for word by 2. So far they aren't really in to watching more than 15 minutes or so at a time but Charlie is really enjoying dancing to the opening music. He is actually really in to dancing period right now. He also particularly likes the Hallmark commercial with the sleding animals and the Dixie Stampede Christmas commercial, much to his daddy's dismay (Chip doesn't like Christmas music.)

Jack likes to dance some too but you have to be sneeky to see him. His style is currently a little more like Elvis. He has decided, as of today, to crawl on elbows and knees finally getting that belly off the ground. It's pretty cute as he really throws his hips into it.

Little trick or treaters

Yesterday the boys wore their glow in the dark skeleton shirts to daddy's office for a short visit. While we were there they checked out a real skeleton.

Later they posed with their jack-o-lantern, then got into their costumes.

We only visited 3 houses but they sure were cute and tolerated the outfits pretty well. We also got this really cute video of Charlie crawling in his turtle shell.
